Do Playing Games Can Damage Your Laptop?

People love playing video games. They use the different type of devices like PlayStation, Xbox, desktop computers to play games. But when it comes to portable devices like Laptops and Notebooks, there are few things to remember or you could damage your Laptop or Notebook.

Answer to this question is bit tricky. Some will say that Laptop is also a computer and it has ability to do whatever a desktop computer is capable of. I have no doubt in it. Laptop actually can handle any task that a computer can handle.

But when it comes to gaming, things are little different. I’m not saying that you can’t play games on a laptop. You can play. But you have to be more careful. Because Laptops or Notebooks are not built for gaming. Think about how hard you go on your keyboard while playing a game. When you desperate to win a battle against your enemy. Keyboard becomes your enemy right? And you’re most likely to put all your strength on your keyboard. Problem is same with desktop computers. But you can simply throw away desktop keyboard and buy a new one. Replacing a Laptop keyboard is not as easy as that. And it’ll cost you more money. So first thing to remember is go easy with your keyboard. Same applies to touchpad. If you feel like it’s out of your range, you better buy external keyboard and mouse for gaming.

Another thing is that what games you choose to play on your Laptop. All PC games usually have minimum system requirements and recommended system requirements printed on its cover. When playing on desktop, you’ll be ok if your desktop meets minimum requirements. But when on a Laptop, you should make sure that your Laptop meets recommended system requirements. A game that only meets minimum requirement may run on your Laptop. But it’ll put processor to its limit. This will cause overheating. Then freezing, data lose and hardware failure.

Even if you’re playing a game that meets recommended requirements, it still can and does overheat your laptop. So you should keep your system cool all the time. To keep your system cool, you should keep your cooling system clean and dust free. Also make sure that nothing is blocking hot air from coming out. Dust can make a complete mess with your cooling system.
